About Me

Dance First Think Later is a Vancouver-based company specializing in personalized wedding dance packages for couples who want to feel confident and look amazing during their first dance. Being in the spotlight—especially on your wedding day—can feel nerve-wracking, but the experienced instructors at DFTL help couples relax, feel prepared, and truly enjoy the moment.

Dance First Think Later is led by owner and dance instructor Katya Petrytskyi, who began her dance training at the age of six and competed in numerous national and international ballroom competitions. As a recent newlywed herself, Katya understands firsthand how important—and emotional—the first dance can be. She now helps couples feel confident, connected, and ready to shine on their wedding day.

Last Minute Dance Package

If you ran out of time, or you just want a simple choreography to look great on photos, this package is for you. With a song of your choice, you will get choreography for some simple moves that will build your confidence on the dance floor.

2 hrs - $230 + GST

Let's Dance Package

This is the most popular package and includes 2, two-hour classes or 4, one-hour classes. Couples get a choreograped routine to the song of their choice and practice time with the instructor to build the confidence in performing it.

4 hrs - $440 + GST

6 hrs - $630 + GST

Dance to Impress

If you want to impress your guests, look no further! This package consists of 8-10, one hour private lessons depending on dace complexity. You will get a personally choreographed routine with the song and dance style of your choice. Perfect for couples who are not afraid to leave their guests speachless!

8 hours - $800 + GST

10 hours - $950 + GST

Wedding Party Package

This package is perfect for couples who want to include their parents and/or their wedding party. It includes 4 classes for bride and groom with a simple choreography to the song of their choice and 4 classes for the wedding party.

Bachelorette Party Dance Class

Make your last fling before the ring unforgettable! Our Bachelorette Party Dance Class is designed to add some extra fun and flair to your celebration. Whether you want to learn a fun group routine, a sultry dance for the bride-to-be, or just want to shake it out to some of your favorite tunes, we’ll customize the class to fit your group’s energy.
